It appears passports are required to cross the boarder and fish Canada (even if by water), is this correct?

Also how come there isn't any information posted on the championship, we are only 5 weeks away...

Thanks!

The information I have on passports from the Canada Ministry of Natural Resources is that they are only required if you dock or anchor your boat. If you are trolling in Canada waters, you do not need a passport to fish. You will however need a Canadian license.

We are working on getting the information together on the Championship and it will be out to you soon.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response, I am not sure if that answers the question, the Ministry of Natural Resources is not a border patrol agency; that is a function of Border Patrol and the Coast Guard. Meaning they cannot issue a citation of illegal entry, but they can for fish and game violations.

Is the MWC still planning on doing the pro/am event? For what it's worth I am kind of hoping not...
