On February 1st we will determine how many openings we have based on the early bird teams and their Challenge tournaments. On the 2nd of February (after all the entries have been received on the 1st) we will know if we have more entries than openings -- or not. If we don't have more entries than openings, everyone that had submitted on the first day would be "in" the tournament. If we do have more entries than openings (which has occured the last two years -- and many of the last twenty years for Spring Valley) we will hold a random selection for the openings (aka "lottery").

All entries, whether received now -- or whether received on February 1st will be eligible for the "first batch" on the morning of Feb. 2nd. (Feb 2nd entries will be held for the "second batch".)

So we publish this list as a courtesy to you -- so you know that we have indeed, received your entry. If it is not listed here and you have sent...we don't have it. And you should re-fax your entry or if you snail mailed it -- fax it as a precaution. YOU are responsible for getting your entry in to us within the time constraints. It is not our fault if you fax it but we never received it. You could have had the paper upside down (which has happened) and we wouldn't have a clue who was sending us blank paper. So every team needs to take the ownership of knowing whether their entries are here or not. We could care less about post-mark. Means nothing. The only thing that counts is that it is in our hands no later than midnight Central Standard Time on February 1st. And since we now have re-written the rules that allows you to send early, there is no excuse.

WE WILL NOT CASH ANY CHECKS OR TOUCH ANY CREDIT CARDS UNTIL AFTER FEBRUARY 2ND. So for those of you that are waiting for that reason -- it is just silly. This is done as a courtesy so no one is in a jam.

Okay...that said...these are the entries that are in our hands for the February 1 -- "first batch" so far. It does not mean they are automatically in. It simply means that we have received their registration.

The most recent update that I made at 1:48 pm puts us at 220 boats for Spring Valley. That just means that if you want to get into the Spring Valley tournament in 2006, you must still fax your entry in today -- Feb 1st. There will be a LOTTERY tomorrow morning for the spots. Any entries that we would get in on 2/2 would not be eligible.

If you want to have a chance; you must get it in today. Fax to 952 988 7250 or 952 936 9755 before Midnight Central Standard Time.
