Why is the team of Kolb & Byers the #2 boat in the Central Divion? Is this a mistake? If not what is the reasoning behind this...
|
||||
|
I Have to agree!
The team of Kolb & Beyers did great last year in the East and also the Challange. But they did not compete in the central. If they want to compete in the cental they should go in the drawing with the rest of the Early Birds... Dave Schmidt |

I would have to agree as well with Dave's comment. I also had the understanding that if the team ahead did not sign up you then moved up. I believe we should be boat #3. Tim Harms

Because of their challenge.

Is that how all the boat numbers for the Central division were decided based on where they finished in the challenge?

Kristine/Jeff,
I believe Troy's questions warrants a timely response. How were the central division teams assigned boat numbers for 2007? John Swanstrom |

No response yet?

I agree with the following comments. Why would a challenge allow you a #2 boat number. One tournament does seem to make sense compare to all three tournament results combined?
Also how will you assign the other numbers for the non early birds? DRM |

Is the madness bracket done? We were haveing fun with it changeing but has not been updated since 1/15.

We will update the Walleye Madness bracket today (at least we'll send it to our IS department today and as soon as they can switch out the PDFs it will go live). There are 44 teams in it.
Kolb & Byers were 2nd place for Team of the Year. I think I've answered that question. We specifically say in our rules that we reserve to assign boat numbers in any manner at our discretion. If you didn't make the championship, boat numbers are assigned randomly. All non-early bird boat numbers are assigned randomly. If you did make the Championship I used the information at my disposal on how you finished last year on points and assigned according to my discretion. Have I ever made a mistake? One year a team that qualified through the East but was a Central division team got missed and got a 62 or something. They should have been 5. Did I change it? No. It's done. I'll apologize personally to a team if I've messed you up. Let me know who's upset here....but I'm not changing Kolb & Byers if thats what your hot about. THEY ARE MWCERS. STOP THIS EAST/CENTRAL bickering!!!!!!! Troy & John -- if you have an issue personally for your team -- call me. And thanks for stepping up to endorse Walleye Madness in the 2007 brochure and then pulling out. Way to go. 952 988 7116. |

WOW.. |

Yea -- I guess I better switch to de-caf. Sorry. ;-)
I'm just so disappointed with this division between East and Central. It is all one MWC. All I'm saying is that I will never please everyone with boat number selection. But we don't promise anyone anything -- and if I've made a mistake and missed someone that "in theory" deserved higher, tell me and I'll apologize. But we don't change them once they are out. Thanks for the reply.

There is 44 teams in the bracket dated 1/15 I would guess that it is final. Sounds like it is going to be fun. See you in SV.

Does a boat number decide how good a team will perform? Maybe I'm stupid but I really cant't see how a team's boat number really matters.
