This is a cut and paste from your original post. When did we change to any year Tundra from 06 or newer?

For each qualifying tournament during the season, including the exhibition tournament and Walleye Madness, there will be a $1,000 cash bonus “Toyota Angler Award” for the top finishing Toyota Truck owner towing his tournament rig with a 2006 or newer Toyota truck. The bonus will grow to $2,500 for the Championship – which will start at the Fall 2006 Cabela’s MWC World Walleye Championship in Prairie du Chien. “We are happy to offer this contingency cash as an added incentive for anglers who drive Toyota Tundras,” offered Peplansky.

Toyota decided that they wouldn't mandate a certain year truck. That's good -- because you could buy a used truck and not just a brand new one and qualify.

Any old rusted bucket of bolts is qualified? Thats nice!
Maybe Ranger will follow that lead and I can bring my 80's Ranger Bass boat to the tournament.

Yup. Just has to be a Toyota Tundra.

We had a Toyota 4-Runner at the Championship and I felt so bad that it didn't qualify! The $2500 rolled over to 2007 Championship so that incentive is now $5,000 instead of the original $2500.

And...you have to be using it for the tournament. ;-) So your rusted bucket-a-bolts had better get you from home to tournament site and back again!

By the way -- picking up the new MWC Toyota Tundra tomorrow. YEA!

Does it have to be the owner of the boat that has the Tundra or can it be his teammate that tows it?
