The 2005 Disabled American Veterans benefit will be held on the Allegheny Reservoir May 15. Located in northwest Pennsylvania on the Allegheny National Forest we will launch from Willow Bay at the PA/NY stateline. All registration/check-in, rules meeting, weigh-ins & awards ceremonies will be held at The Corydon Motel/Restaurant 2 miles from the launch site. It is requested that teams interested in entering log on to our website at: www.kinzua-walleye.com to print entry forms for mail in. This year we expect to have a field of 150 teams but have been given premission from the PA Fish/Boat Commission to exceed that limit. The cost is $150 per 2 angler team with 65% payback. Payback will be 10 places with a guaranteed $5000 1st place and $1000 big fish. The 2005 KAWA circuit will be filmed by the Hookin 2 Kookin TV Show WJAL Ch 68. Last years event raised $10K, this year we would like to see $15K. 100% of the money raised was used to purchase a van to transport vets to the VA hospital and more. A kids tournament, vendors and sponors on hand, food, beverages, it's just a great weekend as friends & families come together and have a chance to give something back to our VETERANS. Tim |
