Per mutual agreement between the Cabela's MWC and the Spring Valley Walleye Club, the 2003 Illinois River circuit opener will be held at Spring Valley, Ill. on March 22-23. The tournament had originally been scheduled for March 29-30.

The date change is more accommodating for the anglers, sponsors and technical support teams and will not conflict with other scheduled walleye tournament venues in the new time frame.

Thanks. This change will save a couple of all night drives and about 800 miles on my truck. Plus we get to spend more time at Spring Valley. Makes a lot of sense!

There is another tournement on this date. On March 23 there is a Illinois Walleye Trail tournement.It is nice to see someone checked into this before rescheduling. Your orginization is either not orginized at all, or just doesn't care about the local fisherman. If it were not for there club (Spring Valley Walleye Club) the biggest tournement on the MWC trail would not exist.

The local tournament has now changed their dates to accommodate the MWC (even though they had already printed up materials). We are helping this local group with the expense of this change.

The Spring Valley community is very much in support and has done everything to make this work out.
