Are you organized and detail oriented? Can you handle a lot of different activities simultaneously – with deadlines? Do you have great people skills for answering questions by phone or by email? Do you have experience working on events? If so, we want to talk to you!

Kris Mauersberger has accepted a new job offer and her last day will be 7/27. I know...everyone will miss her terribly. Jeff and I especially!! We are sorry to see her go, but also excited for her growing into a new position that is something she's looking forward to.

Jeff Ahlstrand is being promoted to the Senior Events & Sponsorship Coordinator position that Kris is vacating. I'm interviewing for Jeff's previous position -- Events & Sponsorship Coordinator, effective immediately. This is a full time position in our Minnetonka, Minnesota office and reports directly to me. We are a 3 person department team, running MWC tournaments but also golf tournaments for the PGA TOUR Partners Club. This year we had 25 events, and we expect similar numbers of events next year.

If anyone is interested in applying for the job, please send a resume to khoutman@namginc.com. We desire a 4-year college degree (business, marketing or sports marketing) and 1-2 years of event experience.

Excellent communications skills
Excellent organizational skills
Detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple projects
Ability to lead and work well in a team setting
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Ability to type 25 WPM -- Accuracy is Key!

There is a fair amount of travel in the job -- 60-70% in the office and 30-40% onsite. Travel does cover weekends and there is heavy lifting involved onsite.

This is an excellent opportunity for an event person who consistently seeks personal challenges and professional rewards. We recognize people as our most valuable asset. Our competitive salary and benefits package includes 401K, medical and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, casual dress, and paid vacation and holidays. Send resume and cover letter with salary requirements to khoutman@namginc.com. MS Word Documents only, please put "Events Coordinator” in the subject line of your e-mail.

I am pleased to announce that Talia Carpenter is being promoted from within NAMG for the position of events & sponsorship coordinator. Talia joined our membership marketing department last fall as a marketing assistant and has done a wonderful job. Her previous experience as a marketing assistant at Grandma's Restaurant Company in Duluth, Minnesota had her working on the Grandma's Marathon, fashion shows, trade shows and concerts. So she has a good grasp of event work. Her double major in Marketing and Communications from the University of Minnesota - Duluth was a big asset.

While there will be some training prior to, Talia will officially join our events department on Wednesday, August 1st.

Talia's email is tcarpenter2@namginc.com (yes, there's already a Tom Carpenter that works here, so you have to add the "2") and she'll be answering the departmental "events" emails as well. You'll be able to reach her at our toll-free number 877-893-7947 ext 4.

Welcome aboard, Talia!
