Welcome to the 2006 season! The fax machine is hummin' here this morning. Here's what I've been able to get entered so far -- and we'll continue to post as we receive throughout the day.
Here's our code for the letters following your team name -- SV=Spring Valley; BDN=Bay de Noc; LC=Lake City; DR=Detroit River/Lake Erie; HH=Henderson Harbor; SB=Saginaw Bay; DL=Devil's Lake; If the team has signed up for MWC Challenge they are listed as a Challenge Team. If they have already indicated they will sign up for Walleye Madness -- Walleye Madness! is listed behind their team name.
(See later post for most updated info)

I'm sure I've heard it before but I can't remember how the earlybird boat order is picked. Is it as they are recieved? If that is the case it would seem the only way to go would be faxing your entry being best case for mailing would probably be next day.
I can help with that question. The teams that qualified for the World Walleye Championship will get priority boat numbers based on their 2005 season. So Jay and Chief will be Boat #1 for Central division for example. But for those teams that didn't get into the Championship -- they can't count on anything tying to their position for the year. We do indicate that "we reserve the right to assign boat numbers in any manner" in our rules. So perhaps there may be an advantage to our "early" early birds. ;-) However, there is no formula per se unless you qualified for the Championship.
Now...that said....we have asked for as much notice as possible -- as that early bird directory booklet that we publish takes a LOT Of work and details to put together. So we won't actually be hitting these early entries for credit cards for until after January 20th to make it fair. We just want entries in as early as possible so we can send them forms/instructions on getting us the information for the booklet.
It was a pretty good first day I think. Looks like a great season ahead!

Early Bird deadline is Noon on Friday. that's if you want to get into the Early Bird Booklet and enjoy installment billing.
If we receive any "multiple" tournament entries after noon on Friday; they will go in the regular "lottery" situation with others. If we have more openings than entries; no problem; in -- but having to pay for all tournaments at once (no installment billing). If we have more entries than openings; the lottery would occur. If "late" early birds were still selected and got in; payment would be due for the 3 or 4 tournaments all at once. No installment billing.
Deadline for Early Bird entries is Noon Central Standard Time on Friday January 27th.
